American company interested in 40000 household’s apartment

The US ‘Stoneline’ company runs operation in investment, real estate and financial markets in America and Asia Pacific region. Representatives from the company were interested in the Government’s 40000 households’ apartment program studying Mongolian situation in banking and financial sector. George Chalmers, Director of ‘Stoneline’ company expressed their opinion about financing the program. (Today)

MNT 150 billion will be centralized in the Development Fund this year

A draft decree regarding passing the procedure of utilization of the property of the Mongolian Development fund has been discussed in a meeting of Parliament Standing committee on Budget. Revenue generated from the windfall profits tax is being centralized into the fund and MNT 150 billion is expected to be centralized by the end of this year. It was said that MNT 217 billion will be centralized next year. The development fund is one component of budget and it is mentioned in the procedure that the income generated within the year will be utilized in the following year. Fund income will be utilized for three purposes: in case of budget revenue decreasing, support to children and families and constitution of pleasent environment of business to enterprises and companies. National Human Right’s Commission will not support hunger strike

S.Tserendorj, Chairman of National Human Right’s Commission met with the representatives of SCU victims who have been on a hunger strike on Sukhbaatar square for 24 days. He introduced about recommendation and its submission to Government ‘to define the policy to recover the full loss of savings possessors and to inform to the public’ based on the Constitutional law article ‘Citizens have the right to be provided by the cost recovery of loss caused illegally by others’ considering the situation and the large amount of loss caused for thousands of people. But he advised victims to stop hunger striking and taking care of their health while he expressed that he is not supporting it. (Ardiin Erkh)
