The doctors of Oncological Center went back to their work. The Government
considered the decision of Minister L. Gundalai wrong, and temporarily
appointed L. Tumurbaatar as the director of the Oncological Center until
selection of a new director.
“We’re continuing our work as usually. Though a temporary director, he’s
more experienced in his professional field than G. Ganbaatar, who was appointed
before,” said the neck and head surgeon G. Purevdorj. “We’re concerned about our request to approve budget for changing the old lines, which was submitted several times since February of 2006. The Minister was holding out on this, and recently heat came through the old lines. Looks like they will have to close heat before replacing the lines. This is Minister’s fault,” said doctor Purevdorj. However the Minister L. Gundalai said, “It’s enough that I helped solve issue of heating. Changing old pipes has nothing to do with me.” But the doctors’ lawyer Ts. Narantsetseg has a different opinion. “Nobody asked the Minister to change the old pipe lines. But we’re requesting to solve the issue of money submitted several times. Even if it’s not directly his fault, it’s still is Minister’s fault.“ Though the Minister states that he had solved the issue of heating, it’s not exactly so. The Prime Minister has called to the Central Heating Network, after which heat was given. “How one who takes credit for someone else, cannot admit that he didn’t fulfill his duty?” added the lawyer. Doctors are working as normal. They also stated that they will continue requesting the apology of the Minister. As L. Gundalai said, the new director of the Oncological Center will be selected in two or three months.
