VII rotation to go to Iraqi is ready

The seventh rotation of the Mongolian peacekeeping troops to go to Iraq in order to participate in the freedom activity will show honor and respect towards the flag today. The 7th rotation of Mongolian troops who are going and participating in the international peacekeeping consists of over 100 military personnels. Also it is planned that our country involves its troops in the international peacekeeping deeds by participating in the NATO army component. Troops from one contingent of General Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces will go to Kosovo in the middle of the coming month. Our country is waiting to bid fatewell to the second rotation of international peacekeepers to Kosovo. (Today’s Mongolia)

The Parliament Member, Minister of Trade and Industry B. Jargalsaihan speaks

The Parliament Member, Minister of Trade and Industry B. Jargalsaihan said to Daily News, that talks about resigning the present government had been started when it was just being formed. He continued further that establishing a government is not a game to play, nor anyone should establish a government to resign it later. Also in the update of Statistics Agency, it says that the number of people actively seeking work was 36,6 thousand in the first eight months of this year, which is 2.1 thousand more people than last year, which is an example of the progress of the government, as he said. But in case of his resignation, he said that his electors can never be resigned. He also denied statements about him scaring away foreign investment, saying that companies can operate without any risks with Mongolian government possessing 51 percent according to the new minerals law. He also mentioned that according to the new law, attempts of companies who received licenses to raise money, reselling them in the stock market cannot be done. He believes that results of the past investors’ forum will prove to be excellent. Lastly he stated that he didn’t have any talks about petrol with the Russian Prime Minister Fradkov, during his visit to Mongolia, denying rumours that he offended the Russian Minister, who in return inceased petrol prices. Illegal Import of Duck Meat

Though import of poultry meat and eggs were banned due to bird flu, the State Inspections Agency discovered a big amount of duck meat brought in yesterday. Although customs documents stated constructions materials on them, 3 tonns of duck meat were discovered when opened. No recipients were clearly indicated, but few workers of Beijing Duck restaurant who were seen at the customs and soon dissappeared are suspected by inspectors. (Unen)

One falcon costs about US $9800

An airplane from Arabia has landed at Buyant-Ukhaa two days ago and returned with about 30 falcons. Customs declarations at Chinggis Khan International airport of Ulaanbaatar have been filed for 105 falcons, 25 falcons and 30 falcons being exported to Saudi Arabia, Kadar and Kuwait respectively. Arabian rich men order and purchase falcons and Mongolia trades one falcon at around 9800 US dollars. Based on the research of professional Government organization about 300 falcons were planned to be exported to Saudi Arabia, Kadar, Kuwait and Palestine by decree no.171. The Ministry of Nature and Environment makes contracts with people who will catch falcons and relevant official people said that in order to regulate pouching of falcons and illegal falcon trading special measures are taken.
