Russian Federation petroleum supplier RosNeft has increased the price of some oil products this month said Petrovis company senior sales manager R. Oyunkhishig.

“RosNeft has increased the price of oil products such as unleaded petrol Ai–93, and the export tax of oil products has increased in the Russian Federation.”

The Petrovis company has increased the price of A–80 by MNT 40 to MNT 840–850; Ai-92 by MNT 80 to MNT 950 – 960; diesel fuel by MNT 60 to MNT 1010– 020; and Ai–95 by MNT 100 to MNT 1030.

J.Shishmishig, a contract officer in the Department of Petroleum Authority, said: “The authority renders assistance for importer companies by looking for exporter companies who will supply the oil products constantly and reliably for them.

“There is no expectation that fuel prices will decrease or will be changed in September. By and large there is a tendency for prices to stay the same as they are.”

When asked if there were plans to find other suppliers and exporters of oil products in order to reduce Russia’s influence on importing oil, J.Shishmishig said: “Which resource the importer company wants to purchase is the issue of the company.”

The Petrovis company has a contract to import oil products from Kazakstan, which R. Oyunkhishig said was not a reliable supplier.
